Where can I find some scholarly articles about pagan beliefs?
The COM Library databases contain scholarly articles about paganism and its beliefs. To find them, follow the link below to our Databases by Subject guide. Select the Social Sciences tab to view the databases for this subject. Select an individual database to enter and search. Most of the databases are provided by EBSCO. Academic Search Complete and The Religion & Philosophy Collection would be good places to begin a search. It's actually possible to search multiple EBSCO databases simultaneously; when you are in one of the databases, select Choose Databases and click on all databases you want to search.
To find articles in EBSCO, you can start with a basic search for paganism and then limit the search with the options on the left. First select Full-Text, and Scholarly (Peer-reviewed) Journals. You can then narrow the search down with the subjects in Subject:Thesaurus Term. There is one for paganism, as well as many others you could use to modify the search criteria. There appear to be many articles in the databases about contemporary paganism which in some way discuss pagan beliefs and practices.
