What types of materials can I find in EBSCO databases? Can I search just for images?
Answer
There are many types of materials available through Ebsco -- articles from academic journals, magazine articles, eBooks, book reviews, images, etc. To view all the different types of resources, go into an Ebsco database, select Advanced Search, and look at the options for Publication Type or Document Type. With these you can look specifically for certain types of materials. You can also limit a search you have done to a specific type of material through the Source Types option to the left of the search results.
To search for eBooks, you have to be in the library's eBook collection. You can access this either through the links on the library website, or, whenever you are in any Ebsco database, you can select Choose Databases and click the check box next to eBook Collection (EBSCOhost).
To search exclusively for images, when you are in an Ebsco database look at the top of the screen for a tab named Images (it won't be there in the eBook collection, but will be there for most other databases). Clicking on this will enable you to just search for the images in the currently active databases. You can also select specific types of images you want to search for.
