How can I check to make sure my MLA citations are correctly formatted?
Answer
You can do this by reviewing the rules in MLA guides to confirm that your citation is following the correct formatting, and by comparing your citation to the sample citations that are in these guides. Use the Cite MLA Style guide below to find the formatting rules for MLA citations, or try other sites like Purdue Owl.
You can also enter the data for your citation into an online citation generator to see if the citations it produces match up with the ones you have created. In the Cite MLA Style guide, under the Cite MLA the EZ Way tab, there is a box that lists several citation generators available for use. EasyBib and Son of Citation Machine: MLA are particularly useful.
