How can I find information about Tourette's Syndrome?

I specifically want to learn about its symptoms and methods for treating it.

If you want introductory information on the disorder, Encyclopedia Britannica is a good place to start.  It has an entry on the disorder that includes both a description of symptoms and treatment information.

If you want more detailed information, you can search our academic databases.  Follow the link below to our Databases by Subject guide and select the Social Sciences tab to view the list of databases related to this subject.  EBSCO databases Academic Search Complete and Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection both have articles about Tourette's syndrome.  In the database, try searching for treatment of tourette syndrome.  From there you can reduce the search through the limiters on the left side of the page.  You could also try searches that combine "Tourette syndrome" and the names of the individual drugs mentioned in the Britannica article (for example, tourette syndrome AND haloperidol) to learn more about the effectiveness of each one in treating the disorder.
