I want to find some articles about the health benefits of children getting regular exercise.
Answer
The COM Library health and nursing databases are a good place to start this search. To use them, follow the link below to our Databases by Subject guide. In the guide, click on the Health & Nursing tab to see our list of databases.
In Academic Search Complete, you can find articles on childhood exercise by searching for DE "PHYSICAL fitness for children". From there you can limit the search to full-text and specific types of sources (academic journals, magazines, etc.).
In Gale: Health Reference Center, try starting with a search for physical fitness children. From there you can refine the search by entering more search terms or selecting subject headings on the left side of the screen.
You could also try searching the databases for articles on childhood obesity, as many of them will discuss the benefits of physical exercise.

All these question are answered by real COM Library staff, so we can only answer if we're open.
