EBSCO Academic Search Complete is your best bet. Access it from the Databases by Subject page (link below) using the pull down menu.

A search of "meaning of colors" retrieved thousands of articles.That's a lot of articles! You can narrow results under Subject Thesaurus term or Subject on the left hand side of the page. Several different subjects may be good for you to try, such as PSYCHOLOGICAL aspects, VISUAL perception, Meaning (Philosophy).Just keep going to you feel you have enough articles.
