For articles on this topic, you will find resources in our Hot Topics databases.

To get there, go to our Databases by Subject LibGuide (link below) and then select the Hot Topics tab. I got many results from Infotrac by searching for black women AND hair. Be sure to play around with the related subjects displayed, to ensure you cover your bases.

Depending on what other information you want, you should try searching EBSCO: All Hot Topics databases, as well. You will find more current event articles, and also some more academic sources regarding the chemicals involved. Additionally, you will find articles that discuss the social and cultural aspects. I ran the same search as above and got results.
