I need articles and books about the social penetration model.

I was able to find some articles about this in EBSCO Academic Search Complete. In the database, try searching for "social penetration" (including the quotes) in the search bar. You can also go into the database's list of subject terms (located at the top left side of the screen) and do a search specifically for articles that have "social penetration theory" assigned as a subject term.

The library has one book that specifically mentions the social penetration process in the table of contents. It is titled Interpersonal processes : new directions in communication research and its call number is BF637.C45 I65 1987.

We also have books on interpersonal communication, and some of them may mention the social penetration model. You can find them by going to http://comcat.com.edu/, going to "basic search", and searching for "Interpersonal communication" or "Social interaction" under the Subject tab.
