Looking for articles on educational development in children, especially relating to Music
Begin at the library's LibGuides home page (see link below). I recommend you then click on Databases by Subject (to go there directly, click link below).
Click on Education, then select EBSCO: Academic Search Complete. Take a few minutes on each of these LibGuide pages to find valuable information on searching our databases, researching in general and how to cite these articles in your paper.
I would suggest search terms such as: Childhood Education; Child Development; Childhood Music Education. Experiment with different words and concepts. After your initial search, check the left side of the screen. You will want to limit your searches to Full Text and Peer Reviewed. You may want to limit by date, to get just current information.
You can further refine your results by Subject: Thesaurus term and/or Subject.
You can review your search results, save articles that seem to be pertinent to a folder, and if you create an account with EBSCO, can save those folders for future use, in the library or at another computer. Without the account, the folders will disappear when you leave the EBSCO database. When you click on the article title, you will see an option to the right of the article to 'Cite'. You can use this link to get citation for the article in a variety of formats. You can cut and paste that citation into your paper, being sure to reformat and check to be sure it is correct.
